The Ferramenta Righetti was founded in Zocca in 1911. The picture above, taken in the early 1920s, shows the first "Arturo Righetti"'s shop, located a few hundreds meters from the present one.
The shop was moved here in 1923 by the founder, Arturo, and here it still is.
It was a tipical department store, a "bottega", as they called it, where you could find everything you needed for building and keeping a house. The phone guide stated, at the "street number 34" of Zocca: "Arturo Righetti, hardware, timber and leathers".
After World War 2 the shop was run by Arturo's son, Alberto, and his wife Maria, who helped to rebuild Zocca, that was severely damaged by bombings.
In the sixties, they began to sell more household products, since Zocca had become a popular destination for holidays.
A big renovation took place in the eighties, when the new managers, Piero and Rosa, doubled the area of the shop to allow room for a whole new range of products: quality improves as the customers become more demanding. We started to offering glassware, fine French porcelain, electrical appliances , as well as managing wedding lists.
Offering first-rate procucts and giving good service, is our goal since 1911.
And now it's up to the fourth generation of Righetti, represented by Enrico, to keep on pursuing the goal.
